BioDIP's History
The BioDIP has developed over a couple of years. Major steps were the foundation of the Imaging Facilities Network (IFN) in 2006 and later the foundation of the BioDIP in 2013 enabled by the DFG "Core facilities" funding.

Tobias starts as the deputy service leader of the EMF at the MPI-CBG.

Jean-Marc Verbavatz leaves the EMF at MPI
Jean-Marc headed the EMF at the MPI-CBG and is now back in France. In Paris he co-heads the research group "Membrane Dynamics and Intracellular Trafficking" at the Institut Jaques Monod and coordinates the technology platform ImagoSeine at the Universite Paris Diderot.
Grasping Higher Dimensions
From Feb 22-24 the international conference Trends In Microscopy (TIM), co-organized by GerBI and BioDIP took place at the CRTD in Dresden. More than 220 attendees were attracted by the scientific talks of the 27 invited speakers presenting latest developments and innovations.
