The BioDIP has developed over a couple of years. Major steps were the foundation of the Imaging Facilities Network (IFN) in 2006 and later the foundation of the BioDIP in 2013 enabled by the DFG "Core facilities" funding.

New member for BioImage Analysis Team at the MPI-CBG!
Noree Walker joins the Scientific Computing Facility at the MPI-CBG as image analyst. Noreen is a physicist and did her PhD at the AMOLF in Amsterdam. As senior mathware engineer she was engaged in mathematical consultancy for a wide range of customers in various sectors such as microscopy, semiconductors, or agro food.

10th Anniversary Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy!
Immediately following the EMBO practical course on Light Sheet Microscopy the conference was held on Aug 12 - 15 at the MPI-CBG in Dresden. It brought together technology developers and users of light sheet microscopy.
As in 2016, BioDIP supports the EMBO Practical Course on Light Sheet Microscopy that takes place from Aug 2-11 at the MPI-CBG.
